1. Be Grateful
Being Grateful is guaranteed to make you a better and
happier person. It'll make you see all the good things in life instead of
focusing on the bad. focusing on the bad will make you a mad and grumpy person
all the time. So instead, you can appreciate everything good and have a better
attitude. An example of being grateful is if in school you get a B, but you
we're working towards an A, instead of bashing yourself for not being the
greatest, you can appreciate that you still have a high grade and work to make
yourself better instead of making yourself feel bad. A great quote about being
grateful is "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have
into enough, and more." Melody Beattle. This quote really captures what
being grateful does. It turns what you have into enough, so you won't be greedy
and just love what you already have. You'll appreciate everything in life
instead of being upset about the things you don't have. Ways I can apply being
grateful in life is to love what i have instead of being mad about the things i
don't have. But you can't just be grateful about the things you have, you have
to be grateful about the people you have. Be grateful for your family and
friends because they'll always be there when you need them.
2. Be smart
Being smart is a great way to better your life. It also
betters your character and your mindset. You'll know how to make decisions
based on what's right and what's wrong. If you're stuck in a situation where
you don't know whether to choose the right or the wrong, being smart you will
instantly know the answer without thinking about it. Being smart isn't only
based on what you learn in school, it's
about your character and how you act. Being smart means knowing what to do
before you're told, staying on task, respecting other people, choosing the
right, etc. There are infinite ways to be smart. Being smart can better your
life because you'll never make wrong decisions, people will respect you, it
shows people what kind of person you are, you'll feel better about yourself
because you don't make wrong decisions, etc. I already have this way applied to
my life because if i want to get to where im going in the future i cant afford
to be stupid. Being smart should be a norm in society because you don't gain
anything in being stupid, you just lose.
3. Be involved in good works
Being involved in good works should make you feel better
about yourself and help you see all the good things in the world. Good works
can be lots of things such as volunteer work, helping people in need, helping
the environment, or just at your school but thats just to name a few. Doing
this will give you a good reputation and let people see what a good person you
are. If you're involved in good works you can help make a good change. You
seeing that you helped make that change will want to make you change more
because you see how much it helps people. It'll make you happy seeing what kind
of change you did being involved in good works. Whether you are in high school,
college, or already have a job/career, this will look good on your resume and
people will see that you do what you're supposed to and more. They'll see that
you're an over-achiever and they'll accept you because that's the kind of
people they want. They want people that know they don't have to, but they still
do it because thats what a great person is. The way i can apply this to my life
is i can help my community's environment so people won't suffer from simply
breathing. I can help shut down factories that pollute the air and soil so
people that live around them can live healthy lives. This is a great work to be
involved in because big colleges will see that i go above and beyond than just
getting a high gpa.
4. Be Clean
Being clean is a good way to refresh your life and continue
on your path to being happy. Being clean isnt only about tidying up your
belongings. There are many different ways to be clean. You can clean your
surroundings, your belongings, your mind, and just basically everything in your
life. Get rid of all your bad attitude, bad language , and toxic people in your
life. Cleansing your body, mind, and spirit will give you lots of positive
energy that will make you a happier person. Getting rid of negativity might
take work but in the end it'll be worth it when you realize how happy it made
you. It can also help you make something of your life because you'll be more
motivated and organized. A way i can apply this to my life is start being more
organized and clean so i do better in my classes. Being clean is a very
essential part to being happy and making something of yourself because you
can't do much being messy and dirty in life.

6. Be Positive
You cant live a happy and joyful life if you aren't positive. When you're a positive person you can make the most out of your life because you'll more motivated to. If you're sad all the time you wont have energy to do anything. Being positive will help you achieve all the goals you have in life because you'll believe in yourself more instead of automatically thinking you can't do it. A great way to be positive is to stop the negative thoughts. Stop hanging out with negative people. Another way is to do something kind. There are a lot of kind acts you can do that'll make yourself feel more positive. Surround yourself with positivity the most you can and you will be happier in life. The way i can apply this to my life is to stop looking at the negative outcomes of my actions and start looking at the positive. Start saying i can instead of i cant. I can always be positive about everything i do in my life and not let the negativity get to me.
7. Be humble
A very important way to be happy is to be humble. There are tons of ways to be humble in your life. The number one way for being humble is you cant brag. If you are proud of you accomplishments talk about them but dont brag about them. Another way is to help other people. It's great to help other people achieve their goals but thats doesnt mean you should stop achieving your own. While helping others make sure you're also helping yourself. A great way to be humble is to accept yourself as you are. Accept that you won't be the most perfect person in the world. Always be the best you can at everything and accept that thats enough. A way i can apply this to my life is that i can learn to be more like this. I can learn humility to strive to be a better person.
8. Be Still
To be still means to just stop. It's to just take a moment out of the day to just solely focus on yourself. first you must have faith, humility, and intention or else you're not truly still. In this state you have to put everything aside. Whether it be family, friends, work, and/or emotions. Just be at peace with the world and have no thoughts in your mind. This can make you happy because if you're drowning in stress you can just stop, clear your mind, put everything aside and just focus on yourself. A way i can apply this to my life is i can be still whenever i can and need to be so i can focus on the things that are truly important.

Typing all these ways to happiness has really taught me that there are many steps to being happy but they're all worth it. They'll help you make something of your life if you truly live by these ways. You cant take your life for granted because that way life isnt truly appreciated. You have to be grateful and humble to live a great life. You also have to be positive and tru to yourself. If you're not tru to who you are, you would never be truly happy with your life. Being a part of good works is also a big part in making something of your life. You will be remembered for great things and you'll feel happy as you're helping others in need. You also most importantly have to be smart. stupidity isnt gonna help you make something of yourself. These 9 ways are very important for happiness and a wealthy life.

this is a time to be happy. This is a time to feel joy and make friends and enjoy the best this life has to offer. What i have tried to put forth .... are simply a few suggestions, gained from many years of living, to help you do just that. The world will tell that certain kinds of things will bring you happiness -- things such as popularity and possessions and satisfying your baser desires.
If today you find yourself only drifting as a leaf in a stream, get hold of yourself and determine you will do better.
At railrpad grade crossing, signs of warning were once common. Two cross arms were emblazoned with the words, "Stop, Look, Listen." They meant that a train could be roaring down the tracks and you had better be alert.
I was riding a train in the Midwest years ago. I looked out the window to my left. A road ran parallel to the tracks. a car with a boy and a girl was speeing down the road a little faster than the train. The car moved ahead until I can no longer see it. Suddenly, the locomotive whistle sounded and the train screeched to a halt as the brakes gripped the wheels. We looked out the window on to the other side. There was a mangled car. Police cars soon converged, followed by the ambulance. The boy and girls were both dead. The road they were traveling crossed the tracks. They did not stop, look, or listen. It all happened in an insant.
The better way to Be is the way of these nine Be's.
They years will inevitably pass, and pass quickly. Today is your day of resolution. Promise yourself to make something good of your (precious) life."
